In addition to the very visible presidential election this fall, the country will also be electing senators and representatives to Congress.  There are now many online tools to help you become a more informed voter.  A guide to these online resources is Tech Tools for the American Voter…

It includes ways to check to see if you are registered to vote, and many sites for information on congressional candidates.

This semester’s Bregman Book Discussion Series has begun.  They are happening on Tuesday Feb. 12 and 26 and on Mar. 4 at 4 pm. and are held in the lobby of Crumb Library.  Co-sponsored by the College Libraries, the Honors Council, and Phi Kappa Phi, they are open to all to attend.  The remaining 3 books under discussion are:

  • A Long Way Gone: Memoirs of a Boy Soldier, by Ishmael Beah
  • The World Without Us, by Alan Weisman
  • Doubt: a Parable, by John Patrick Shanley
