Today will begin a series of posts on how to take advantage of the library from the comfort of your own home. Doing so is especially important this year because of the threat swine flu and other communicable diseases pose to our campus community. So, if you are feeling under the weather stay home and rest because the library can come to you.

Today’s Tip: Renewing library materials

Using our Online Renewal is the easiest and fastest way to renew materials you’ve checked out from the library. To do this, go to the library homepage and click “BearCat Online Catalog.” Then click “My Account” in the grey menu bar and log in. After doing so, it is as simple as clicking “loans and renewals,” selecting the items you wish to renew, and clicking “Renew Selected.”

Just two minutes of effort will save you both the time and energy of coming to the library to renew your books. More importantly it may also help prevent the spread of illness on campus.
