Several students have reported that they weren’t getting any new emails in their inbox. Upon investigation it seems any new emails were being sent directly to their “Deleted items” folder. CTS believes this is the result of possibly responding to a Phishing scam of some sort and have developed instructions on how to correct this. They are lengthy but talk the students through it:

1) Sign into the Web Portal (not their phone, computer, or other device).

2) Click Email

3) From the Gear menu in the upper right, click it, choose Mail

4) Expand Mail, then Automatic Processing, and look at InBox and Sweep Rules

5) There will likely be a rule in there to delete/move messages


If you get stuck and can’t figure it out please direct the student to the CTS Helpdesk during their hours of operation- 8am to 4:30pm. There is no need to continue reporting more instances of this as CTS is already aware of the problem and dealing with it. Thanks

The black drum cartridge for the color printer has been ordered. Please remember this is NOT the same thing as the black toner cartridge.

All printers are functioning correctly- for now

Printer 1 has an out of order sign on it because the imaging unit is now completely empty. CTS is aware and is working to get replacements here shortly. Printer 3 says the imaging unit is nearing end of life so hopefully they will get here before that one stops as well.

If any of the Macs put up a message about “ard” needing access to the keychain- just restart the computer. Apple released an update that triggers that message but it should only come up 1 time then not show up again after restart

The color printer is having issues with color streaks. I have worked with CTS and numerous parts have been replaced but to no avail. There is a ticket in on it and CTS is working on it. For now there is a color printer in Sheard and I believe in the Alpine lab in Flagg Hall

Printer 2 is still experiencing the firmware error. CTS is actively working on it. The 2 other B&W printers seem to be holding up under the added workload.

There is an out of order sign on Printer 2 due to a firmware error. I have set it to reject jobs and put in a ticket with CTS

Printing through the lorax2 print server is unavailable (Printing is down) CTS is working on it but there is no estimate on the completion time
